Your Intelligence, Decoded
What if we have been asking the wrong question about AI? The founding philosophy of decodeCoLab — and why the intelligence was always yours.
Read StoryMost organisations are sitting on extraordinary — yet often inaccessible — collective wisdom. The CoLab captures it. Decode Agent — a trained AI evaluation assistant — decodes it and helps you build an integrated impact and data system that lets you tell a powerful, evidenced story of change.
Most organisations already have what they need to understand their impact. Years of frontline experience, hard-won insight, and collective wisdom — held by the people closest to the work. The challenge is rarely a lack of intelligence. It's making that intelligence visible, structured, and actionable.
decodeCoLab works at that intersection. We combine deep evaluation and facilitation expertise with an AI-powered platform — The CoLab — to help teams decode what they already know into clear theories of change, meaningful evidence, and compelling stories of impact.
You can work with us directly — through facilitated sessions, evaluation design, and strategic support. Or you can use The CoLab independently, guided by our AI evaluation assistant, Decode Agent. Either way, the intelligence at the centre of everything is always yours.
Tailored facilitation and evaluation services that prioritise participation, genuine learning, and evidence that actually gets used.
Participatory evaluations designed to surface genuine insight — not just compliance. Built around your context, your team, and what you actually need to know.
Working with teams to make their thinking explicit and structured. Clarifying what you are trying to achieve, why, and the pathway that connects your work to lasting change.
Building practical, lightweight M&E frameworks that teams actually want to use — connected to your strategic pathway so measurement is meaningful, not just mandatory.
Helping practitioners build their own technology platforms using AI — without a development team. Based on the lived experience of building The CoLab itself.
The CoLab is a structured collaboration environment where teams build their theory of change, map their pathway to impact, and collect evidence of change — all in one place. It brings your team's collective intelligence together and, guided by Decode Agent, turns it into a professional impact pathway and report.
The CoLab works alongside decodeCoLab facilitation services — or independently, for any organisation ready to map their impact on their own terms.
Enter the CoLabTrained to think like an evaluator. Built to amplify what your team already knows.
I'm Decode Agent — the AI at the heart of The CoLab. I've been trained specifically in evaluation methodology, theory of change, and participatory approaches. I know what good evidence looks like. I know how to ask the right questions. And I'm genuinely quite good at turning messy, complicated thinking into something clear and useful.
But here's the thing — without your team's collective intelligence, I'm just a very sophisticated blank page. Every insight, every outcome, every story of change that comes out of The CoLab starts with you. I just help decode it.
I synthesise your responses into impact pathways, surface assumptions you might not have noticed, ask the questions your team hasn't thought to ask, and embed feedback loops so your organisation keeps learning as the work evolves.

Read StoryI am an evaluator and facilitator based in Malawi, deeply embedded in the international development sector. My work is grounded in the belief that evaluation shouldn't just be about reporting to donors — it should be a powerful tool for organisational learning and adaptation.
Over the years I have supported numerous organisations to measure what actually matters, surface genuine insights, and strengthen their practice from the ground up. I work with NGOs, charities, social enterprises and independent practitioners — particularly those doing complex work in resource-constrained environments.
decodeCoLab grew directly from this practice. The platform exists because of structured thinking, clear frameworks, and AI as a collaborative tool — not because of technical expertise. That process is itself a demonstration of the methodology.
